The Student International Pathways Program, High School Consular Internship.

The Student International Pathways Program aims to connect interested South Florida high school students with internship positions at consular offices across the county. We strive to put students a step in the door within the field of international politics and provide opportunities not previously available.

Luisa Santos, Office Fellowship

Our new Fellowship is designed for high school and college students to gain vital experience with regards to local government, including policy proposals, relational organizing with constituents, developing external communications, and internal team management. In addition, this fellowship has been crafted to ensure that fellows receive more from the experience than even what they contribute in work, with planned experiences aimed at growing fellows’ skills in their personal and professional lives. Through this 10 hour a week commitment for 6 months, fellows will have the opportunity to not only collaborate with other students, but to directly contribute to vital work that will strengthen both their ties to the community and their understanding of local government and policy. Luisa Santos, Committee Appointment

Citizen Participation Groups are committees formed by concerned citizens that allow individuals to influence policy in our school system ranging from topics of diversity and equity to security. This year, Luisa is accepting applications for these committee appointments — something never done before. Committee appointees are tasked with representing Luisa’s ideals and policy stances of inclusion, equity, and opportunity for all students at committee meetings, contributing their expertise, and reporting back to our office. SportsHi, High School Marketing Ambassador

Interested in learning more about the high school sports community? Through SportsHi, a network run for students by students, you’ll gain experience in marketing and business analytics, working closely with the company and your own high school. After three months with the program, you’ll have the opportunity to receive a recommendation letter from the CEO.

 

SPIKEVIEW: Social Media & Product Strategy

Spikeview is a platform for teens who try to aid those in strengthening their potential and goals. Interns would work close with CEO and leadership team to create social media strategies on how to organize community engagement programs (blogging, insights on online community, and become an influencer for groups you are interested in)

 

425 Tutoring High School Intern

425 Tutoring aims to close the gap between students and remote schooling by giving free education. Tutors will create presentations, schedule lessons, and teach two or more students at a time. 

The Borgen Project, HR Internship

The Borgen Project aids others with explaining that leaders in this nation  should express more about global poverty. Interns will focus on national recruitment and updating job postings. As well as informing others of openings, take on multiple tasks and assist with advocacy efforts.

 

The Borgen Project, Political Affairs Internship

The Borgen Project is an innovative, national campaign that is working to make poverty a focus of U.S. foreign policy. This is a part-time 12-hours per week, unpaid telecommuting internship. The internship is for 12 weeks and responsibilities will include leading public and political outreach in your state and district.

The Borgen Project is an innovative, national campaign that is working to make poverty a focus of U.S. foreign policy. This is a part-time 12-hours per week, unpaid telecommuting internship. The internship is for 12 weeks and will give an insight into the key skills required to lead and develop a nonprofit organization.

Microsoft High School Internship

Microsoft’s high school internship program allows students to delve further into computer science and programming. With a focus on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), this summer internship is perfect for high school students interested in pursuing a degree in a STEM-related field. Students have the opportunity to gain on-the-job experience completing challenging yet achievable STEM projects.

Kaiser Permanente LAUNCH Program

Kaiser Permanente offers eight-week, paid summer internships to high school students interested in health-related fields. Kaiser specifically reserves spots for students who might not otherwise have access to the resources to pursue a career in health. Students gain hands-on experience while getting paid a minimum wage hourly during the internship.

 

Central Intelligence Agency Summer Internship

The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) accepts applications from high school seniors planning on enrolling in a four- or five-year undergraduate program for a summer undergraduate program internship. Students learn about the world of intelligence while participating in work relating to their intended college major.

Smithsonian Summer Internship

The Smithsonian offers a wide variety of summer internships for high school students interested in fields related to history, culture, art, design, technology, science, and nature. Students can choose from multiple opportunities designed to help them express themselves, learn communication and leadership skills, and prepare for college and their future careers–all while exploring the Smithsonian’s museum environments.

High School Software Development Intern

Our internship program is established to allow high school students an opportunity to gain real-world experience working alongside our software development teams. Interns will work on a variety of projects, learning new technologies and tools.

As a graphic designer you will be working with the marketing team in creating graphics that will be launched alongside marketing campaigns. You will also work with our social media team to create cool, eye catching graphics that will be posted on Q-munity’s socials. You are an all rounder that will be working with everyone on the Q-munity team to create graphics that will bring people to our website and event.

 

MadlyRad Labs, Inc. Social Media Internship

We are looking for some high-powered, dedicated interns to help with our marketing launch for our app. We are building a cohesive, strong team of teens from all over the country to help get the word out about Hideouts. This team of interns is responsible to reaching out to social media influencers, primarily TikTok influencers, and setting up partnerships with them. To date, we're in touch with a number of influencers who have a combined reach of 12+ million followers.

 

MadlyRad Labs, Inc. App Development Internship 

We are looking for 2 or 3 high school interns who are passionate about our cause and want to gain hands on experience with the development of an app.

We need interns to test our app on a daily basis and make sure all the functionality is working properly. You will communicate any crashes or bugs to both the Beta Test Team and the Developer Team. In addition, you will be required to attend a weekly meeting (right now set for Wednesday at 9:45 pm EST) to update the iOS developers and beta testing team. This process should not take more than 10 or 15 minutes daily.

 

MadlyRad Labs, Inc. Teen Website Coder

Hideouts is looking for teen coders to help us build our website and web application. We are currently in the process of development, and we need more coders to pitch in. Teen coders will be working with our teen developer team on building pages and the core functionality of Hideouts. This is a fantastic opportunity for any high-schooler who wants to gain real-world coding experience as well as learning the behind-the-scenes efforts of a tech startup.

 

EnergyMag, Virtual Internship.

Looking to help make the world a better place? Through EnergyMag’s internships, open to high school and college students, you’ll gain experience working in the renewable energy sector. You’ll gain research and analytical skills and work experience via half-time (2-8 weeks, 20 hours per week) or quarter-time (1-9 months, 8 hours per week) internships.

 

The Game Haus Sports Journalism Internship

This sports and esports media startup company is the perfect (virtual) environment to learn about sports journalism. Interns will be writing, podcasting, and doing videography regularly, all while discovering the ins and outs of this exciting world. High school seniors (2019–2020 school year), college students, and others who are at least age 18 may apply.

 

Upkey Virtual Internship Program

Upkey offers 1,000 new virtual internships to equip students with leadership and career readiness skills each quarter. Through project-based learning and micro-internships across different business functions, high school seniors and college students can gain skills and explore concepts such as financial literacy, multichannel marketing, understanding social equity, and more.
